Have you ever said yes when you actually wanted to say no? Do you find it stressful to handle someone else’s request because you don’t want to upset them?
If so then chances are that you might benefit from feeling and communicating your boundaries.
Because if pleasing another to keep the peace comes with a sacrifice of your own truth, there is self-deprivation going on. Historically we have been encouraged to be good girls, not to rock the boat and to play along. But have you ever seen a good girl change the world? She can’t!
This is a big topic for women in general as the disempowering dynamics are created and enforced by society. In the UK especially it is regarded as rude to state a clear NO! Not just for women. (I can observe this from the outside as I am from a culture where clear Yeses and Nos have no charge only a clear meaning.)
Together we will dip our toes into a few fun and enlightening practices around boundaries. There will be full body Nos in a safe and supportive circle of women. It is very liberating and empowering to give each other permission to ‘be rude’. What would happen to a wolf that didn’t dare to show its teeth?
During this gathering you will experience:
A movement practice to get a sense of your physical personal boundary.
An effective conversational trick to turn around any uncomfortable, inappropriate question you might get asked.
Saying No! to somebody’s face and be honest with the feelings and judgements that come up for you in a safe, supportive and confidential group.
A circle of women with deep listening intent
If you feel called to join us please follow the link to book. There is also a Feeling Sisterhood WhatsApp group you are welcome to join after attending a gathering. Please bring a snack to share if you feel like it. We hope you will join us for this magical night!
Feeling Sisterhood are women’s gatherings that have been happening since 2021. Our aim is to bring back the deep tribal feeling of women sitting around a fire together, sharing stories and sorrows, laughter and resources. The intention is to dissolve the feeling of competition and envy that can linger between women and to increase trust, friendship and honest appreciation of each other - exactly as we are. We are non-judgemental and supportive to whatever you may bring to the circle. We don’t try to fix or give unwanted advice unless you ask for it. Everything shared is held in confidentiality and deep respect. Come, join the tribe!
